Are you an alumni making a first time visit to this site?
Welcome!
Its extraordinary that an institution with the footprint of Hurst Court can almost disappear without trace. This web site may fill the space a little. Ed.

SPORTS & ACTIVITIES (page down for pictures)
Sports and activities were a central theme to life at Hurst Court. The three main sports followed the seasons: Football in the winter term, Rugby in the Spring term, and Cricket in the Summer term. Additionally there were an array of minor sports available: tennis, fives, swimming, rounders, boxing and an annual sports day offering races, including a three legged race for the less sporty, and a house relay,
On the activities front the physical piece de resistance was the dedication of a basement room as a train room with a comprehensive track of 'O' gauge taking up the whole room. There were over the years also various other 'clubs' formal and informal for model making, conjuring, chess (with a 'chess ladder'), etc.
