Jeremy McLaughlin:  Inspired by John Farrar after a talk about Pepys I kept a daily diary for my last two years (56/57).  Apart from a lot of uninteresting details and birthday records I see I completed a dare when in Wardlaw's tower to cross to the other tower via the roof top fire escape and was then caught by Miss Broadbent who did not report me! Another recorded incident was buying sweets on my trip to Confirmation lessons and presumably some for Michael Wagstaffe as my diary records we were both beaten for this!
